Redwood Caregiver Resource Center
While taking care of my father on hospice in 2021, I recalled my experience at Family Caregiver Alliance (below), and realized how my work in that area had prepared me for the role. I contacted my local CRC in Santa Rosa and discovered they had a need for someone with graphic design and web experience, as well as social media. I was happy to begin volunteering my efforts for them, which is transitioning into contract work with the CRC.
Family Caregiver Alliance
I joined FCA as E-Communications Specialist handling all outgoing email messages via Constant Contact, brochure designs, setting up photo shoots, and Fact Sheet layout and publishing. Soon after I took on the task of leading a website redesign to bring the organization into the 21st Century with a more modern website presence.
I've included this somewhat casual document simply to show the level of involvement and communication I participate in when on a design project. Color, styling, brand and identity all are important and I enjoy the process of collaborating with team members and/or vendors to lay out the goals of the job.

Verizon Wireless (Rule the Air Campaign)
While working at Verizon Wireless as a contract Web Developer, I created product images for the web site (predominantly dressing up mobile phone images in Photoshop, adding reflections and shadows for 3-D effect), layouts for splash and landing pages like this one, related to the Rule the Air campaign. I also collaborated with colleagues across the country to share resources and consult on advertising and design needs, maintaining an image bank and handling FTP of image resources for shared purposes across departments.

Right Angle Hair Salon & Art Gallery
Doing freelance work often provides more creative freedom than corporate work. I helped get this salon/gallery onto the internet when it began to grow and their clients started getting online, wanting to read more about services and products and asking about booking appointments online too. As the gallery was a big part of the salon, the salon owner wanted to have an strong art aesthetic to the online presence so it would appeal to artists wanting to show their art at the location.

Leadership Excellence (via Taproot)
My work on the Leadership Excellence website was part of a Taproot effort to assist the non-profit organization with establishing a professional online presence. Four web professionals were put together on this task, and I served as the graphic & UI designer.

Montera Middle School
In addition to redesigning the school's logo (the bull mascot), I helped the PTA redesign a website that better fit their needs (including an online store to sell products printed with the new mascot logo to bring in money for after school and sports programs.

PBI (Pacbell Internet) > SBC/SBC-Yahoo! > SBC Internet Services
My work with the telecom giant back in early 2000s involved graphic design of buttons, dynamic banner ads and static sidebar ads for DSL and Internet services, layout of splash and landing pages and branded imagery to align with the SBC-Yahoo! contractual partnership .
